Off-Loom Weaving — Portrait Series

An exploration of identity and representation through striking wall hangings made by hand, off the loom. Each portrait is meticulously designed to capture the likeness of its subject, using a wide range of colors to weave one-of-a-kind pieces, thread by thread. The series includes Sisterhood (2020), Unavoidable (2021), The Educator (2021), Warrior of Hunza (2022), Molotov (2022), Asfarnama (2022), and Midday (2022) — work that is as challenging as it is rewarding, each piece carrying its own vivid, emotionally resonant story.
