Blue Archive

A project made entirely in shades of blue and rooted in the women I grew up around — inspired by a photograph from my family album of an older woman quietly mending a wedding dupatta. Women have always practiced sustainability through care, repair, and resourcefulness long before the word existed. For Blue Archive, I worked only with discarded or rejected materials: factory-damaged fabrics sourced from Pakistan, cut into strips, dyed, and off-loom woven into entirely new blue textiles — ponchos, wide-leg trousers, and shawls. The process became a metaphor for the women in my life: taking what society dismisses and turning it into something strong and beautiful.
